I've been getting a hankering for another 1911. The top end stuff is out of my reach so I'm mostly looking at the mid teir stuff.
I've been eyeballing their "G" model and I'm hoping someone has some experience with or recommendations about these pistols.

its hard to discern any difference between all the different 1911's. For me, they all shoot the same. Each more accurate than I can put down rance. It all comes down to resale and value.

if you are shooting these, im certain you will get a great value. save $ with a MR1911 or kimber...put the savings toward ammo and just shoot it.

as for collection...i would stick to good ones to have. Hard to pass on a COLT, dan wesson and springfield. all within a pretty affordable range. shoot and keep for the long term. these go up every year as the manufactureres keep raising the MSRP. Plus, these are easier to sell when times are tough

I've got a several other 1911's from cheap to not cheap and just looking at something different for my fix.
They're like cats...they multiply.
The other option in the same price range would be SA Loaded. I'd only be interested in a Colt is if I could find an older model in good condition.
Thanks for the imput.

Since you are looking at magnum research also check out Bul Armoury. They range in price from 750 to 3200 for their race guns. I have a Bul commander stainless in 9 mm and it is a very well built 1911. They are just hard to find. But also own a Dan Wesson in 45

Magnum Research 1911s have some of the smoothest actions and best triggers of any production 1911, hands down in that price range.
Thanks, That's what I've read.
Just wanted input from folks who've actually owned or who very familiar with them.
I don't impulse buy anything. I'm frugal (ie cheap) and I try to make sure what I spend is done so wisely. I always want the best bang for my buck so I research everything I spend money on.
Too bad our government doesn't think that way.
