I saw nothing in that video except police officers, some of them in tactical gear. It's their job to make sure a "peaceful gathering" stays that way, and with folks blocking traffic like that I would think local residents called the police to ensure the group involved in the "parade" didn't block drivers from using the road.

This wasn't a parade - parades are usually permitted. It was a mob. Show me pictures of folks marching peacefully along the sidewalks before the police arrived, and maybe I'll believe it. There's a reason I stayed out of some areas of Hartford and Bridgeport when I lived in CT, and this is one of them. This stuff has been going on for decades.
