Optics Help Needed

Reaching out to the ODT brain trust on this one.

Need some advice on a nice little optic for a SBR project I have going.

I am considering some of the following:

Eotech full size or XPS2
Trijicon Reflex
Trijicon RMR
Docter red dot
Leupold Prismatic
Aimpoint Comp3


The Leupold is kind of interesting since the glass is etched with the sight ring and the additional battery will illuminate it.

I'm really up in the air on this and my budget is around $500

Any recommendations or suggestions from you guys, especially if you have hands on with any of these, would be great.

Rmr or xps2 depending on platform. Ak or ar or something differant?

Look at red dots offered from Vortex Optics.

Its going on a Sig 556 SBR..I was really leaning towards the RMR but I can't get over how small it is.

I like the Aimpoint or Trijicon. Eotechs are great to, they are just somewhat blurry IMO.

I'm a big fan of the Vortex Sparc or Strike fire. The smaller being a sparc, but the strikefire is pretty open plus fun to use the night option

I had two sig 556 pistols I was just getting ready to sbr before trading them off. The xps was top of the list for me.

Aimpoints should be the only thing you're looking at. The Comp C3 is the best value for your money.

If you need any evidence on their durability look up te Daniel Defense torture test to see what one can withstand. I've also talked to an Aimpoint rep in the past where he said that during testing for a new sight they tried to break it, but even hitting it like a baseball with a bat and strapping a flashbang to it couldn't breaks the thing.
