Ordered my first can. Walk me through this fellas….

So I shot my first 50 or so rounds to with the can and it’s like im shooting supers. Every few rounds will sound quiet and like I expected then it’s back to like I’m shooting supers. I’m using AAC 147gr FMJ. I’d say out of two mags, 3 sounded like subs. What say you?? Ammo?

I usually have good results with AAC but that’s usually 77gr 556.

Go with BlackDot’s 124 or 147 gr. They ARE remans. BUT they are my go to for 4 different munitions. Have never had a problem.

I've shot a lot of AAC 9 ammo. 115,124, and 147. It's definitely loaded stout. I wonder if the added barrel length of your mp5 vs a 4" barrel is causing it to go super sonic? I'd try some other 147 loads. Also, you might want to get some TMJ 147 ammo. We had some AAC ammo lose it's jacket and fragment super quick in a big Atlantic Coast Machine can. The jacket pieces were just loose in the can.

I've seen a lot of QC issues out of AAC. I'd look at ammo as the problem. Cans are pretty simple. And the R9 has a good amount of volume. Or maybe expectations are too high, but sub 9mm generally sounds good to people. If getting a sonic crack, it's certainly the ammo. I don't think I've ever seen 147's in the super category.
