Luckily I don't use framing nailers very often, but finish/brad nailers and pinners I do. Got stabbed by a pneumatic finish nailer one time while attaching some built-up trim. The nail hit another nail and kicked out 45 degree into and through my finger. Hurt like hell...but really wasn't that bad. I can't imagine a nice 16d through two fingers...DJD.

had that happen with a ring shank, same fingers just on the underside. No pulling that out, had to cut the skin with a razor knife. 3 bandaids and some duct tape and back to work.

Wasn't watching but according to him it went completely thru the 2x4 and into 2 fingers. Anybody remember 2 Fingers Tequila? LOL. Anyway, not sure how he got that angle.

I had a 18 gauge bounce off a knot and make a U turn and come back thru my finger

I usually use a nail to join 2 pieces of wood together. I really never consider trying to nail my fingers together.
