A couple of years ago I posted about an outdoor range in Gainesville that was .22 only. The older gentleman was a super guy who basically ran it to allow kids to shoot and was a big supporter of local 4-h shooting clubs. Well I think business has not been good and his Facebook page has not been updated in years. I called him a few minutes ago and he told me he now allows you to shoot CENTERFIRE PISTOL and you can shoot bowling pins if you bring them. He has allowed anything to be shot in the past as long as it did not ricochet. He is open Saturday 9-5 and if you call him he will open up Thursday and Friday as well. He charges $15 per person all day and kids are free. So help a nice ol' gentleman out and go out there and support his endeavor by shooting at his range. Beats the heck out of punching holes in paper and you can help keep a nice place to shoot open. His phone is 678-618-0660. Address is:

Ten Ring Sporter Range
4212 Roy Parks Rd
Gainesville, Ga 30507

Thanks guys,

The owner is Sherman Pass. Super nice guy. I shot several CMP rimfire matches there when he was still doing those.

Come on man....centerfire rifle cartidge out of a pistol is pushing it....he has neighbors across the street who don't like his range as it is and you want to shoot rifle cartridge? The guy is barely making it as it is... Bring your .22 RIMFIRE and your centerfire firearm chambered in a PISTOL cartridge and your good to go. Part of the problem is not just noise but over penetration of back berm that rifle cartridges would have the city of Gaineville hammering down on him. He's working on getting some steel gong up for people to shoot on a side note and my buddy's 9-year old was there shooting with no problems. Here is a pic and the gentleman even helped set up the bowling pins after we knocking them down!! Oh yeah-kids under 15 are free.
