San Fran said shoplifting wasn't a crime worth pursuing. Looks like the retailers are finally starting to feel the water they've been sitting in getting hot. But don't worry, all the woke stores will feel like they have to keep some stores open, so everyone else will have to pay for those shoplifted items.

Walmart already does that. They have certain stores that they maintain which they know are going to have substantial loss due to their location.
If they closed all the stores in bad neighborhoods the optics would look terrible and racist so they just bite the bullet and pass the loss on to their paying customers.

The criminals will have to go to the store earlier.....

In California, they have been reducing reportable crimes by changing what used to be felonies, are now misdemeanors. BARRAM-288 Burglary, Arson, Rape, Robbery, Murder, and sex crimes against children.

They'll prosecute the citizens for carrying a gun. For a criminal, it's no big deal.
