Hey Guys I wanted to hear some opinions on this. I always hear people say if your going to carry get a small gun? I'm a big guy and I like Outside the waistband carry and prefer larger Guns S&W M&P Full size or other pistols of similar size. Is this really a big deal when it comes to carrying? I know I see lots of Guys carry full size 1911s everyday? and I hate the way Small Pistols feel in the hand. What do you guys think?

Hell man carry what YOU want not what someone else says is good or not. Glock 17 here, 6ft tall i am barely 180lbs. Main thing is GOOD holster and GOOD belt. For ease of OWB carry i highly recommend a Black Point Tactical Leather wing holster ....

Carry however and whatever you are comfortable carrying. I've carried OWB and IWB. Although when I've carried owb I've still either covered it with a coat or was dressed a little nicer.

Most of the time i carry my p238 in my pocket. But sometimes carry a sig scorpion 1911. Its the carry version but still big, in a leather owb holster and it is comfortable. Just need a good belt and long shirts. Unless your ocing. I cant do the iwb holsters.

I was recently told about the AMAZING milt sparks holsters specifically for 1911's. They make carrying commander or full size 1911's IWB very comfortable. Like others have said a good belt is just as important as a good holster. Carry what you feel comfortable carrying.

Good belt and a good holster and you can carry comfortably all day long .

Although not really what folks call full size .... I carry a G19 everyday OWB in a combat master holster and people are none the wiser :)

Glock 19/PPQ is the smallest gun I carry... Proper belt and holster and you'll be good to go. Carry any size that fits your hand!
