Pawnshopping

Anybody else do it ?? I picked up some AR10 mags yesterday at different places and saved a few bucks. I've picked up a few guns at decent prices in the past and more than a few Coleman lanterns.Lets hear about your finds .

$50 Stevens 12g bolt shot gun
$375 G19 factory threaded barrel
$380 G17
1996 Gibson Firebird $1,000
Countless other guitars, gun crap, amps, tools, etc...

I do it all the time. Great fun and you never know what deal you can pickup. I also like that most will negotiate price on items. That also makes it fun.

I always try but i never seem to come up with an awesome deal that i hear others talk about. I do like the bins of used accessories over at Cherkee G&P for holsters and such

Which shops do you go too? I have about 10+/- that I consider "good ones".

Lol...maybe i'm getting there right after you leave.

I think my challenge is that i'm mostly in to unmolested milsurps....the pickins' are getting slim

Pretty much everything I've ever seen at a pawnshop was way overpriced.

Yeah, there are only 2 shops around me tat kind of have descent mil surplus stuff, but as you said, pickins are slim for sure unless you want overpriced Nagants.

Just ask, 9/10 you can get a helll of a discount. Many Pawnshops just put retail prices on used ****, but you can offer a decently fair deal and alot of the times they will take it. Especially if they had the item a while.

PAWN SHOPS ARE ALMOST ALWAYS ENTERTAINING. SOME ARE FANTASTIC PLACES TO FIND GEMS AND STRIKE A DEAL AND SOME ARE JUST MUSEUMS. I DESPISE GOING INTO A REGULAR BOX RETAIL STORE NOW.

I visit pawn shops when i travel on business...sometimes find good milsurp deals there in the larger cities. Seems that they like to dump old stuff rather quickly and focus on selling pistols and tec 9's
