PDF Writers? Best free or paid? Any experience?

I'm in the process of receiving some PDF docs and Word has proven not to be an option. So the hunt for a dependable (and possibly free) PDF editor is on. Adobe Editor is like $110+..Really don't want to pay that so any help with experience is appreciated. Yes, there are a bunch out there, but really don't have time to test all. Hel

Adobe Acrobat let's you read PDFs. That's free. If you have a google account you can pull them on to google drive and that should help.
