No, but having an electric car with suitable range gives you a pass, for now. No gas taxes so you're driving on roads for which everyone else is paying. Give them time and your car will be talking to the electric meter and the gas pumps....We may one day supplant foreign petroleum with domestic natural gas or Hydrogen but they'll figure out how to tax those forms of energy too!
