Where's a good shop around Atlanta that stocks picatinny style bases for a rem 700? I already got my rings. Brand suggestions for the base are also appreciated.

I like the EGW base. They're affordable, and seem to do everything I ask of them.

I usually get mine from Midway. Finding anything in stock is pretty tough now.

I understand, it cost so much to try to keep high quality stuff in the rack now
that many shops just can't do it. Especially with so much to choose from now?

thanks all, what MOA should i get btw? 10, 15, or 20?

That will depend on your application.

How much adjustment range your scope has too? If you intend to shoot normal ranges of say, 400 yards and under,
then you may not need any built in additional elevation?

If you intend to shoot 1K yds, then you may want to get the max. On a standard install with a quality scope, a flat base will be fine.

The #'s represent the amount of additional built in elevation. Your scope may not need any help?
