Go buy a S&W MP15-22 or one of the new Tippman .22 rifles.

Leave the AR556 as a center fire rifle.

Direct Impingement or Piston is a matter of opinion.

I have and shoot both...my DI is harder to clean up than my Piston gun.
My DI weighs a tad less.
