Does that specify what wavelength the light is? Cause rocking some IR would make sense if you're doing it with night vision. Seems like you could also throw a little flashlight on your gear and call it good.

I think most of the night hunting is done on private property or hunting clubs if you can't use WMAs or NF.

I am not sure. If anything call and talk to a Game Warden. They are there to help keep you out of trouble unless you're already doing the trouble:) Then they are there to Enforce the laws that were violated. Best to get their advice right from the rip for clarification.

Always good to have a hard copy of regs in the truck in case cell service is sparse or nonexistent or technology dies.
What about getting permission to hunt Corps of Engineers land? Might be worth looking into.
^^^^This is a fantastic Idea.

Food for thought.
To hunt on Corps of Engineers property, hunters must have a valid state hunting license as well as a Corps hunting permit. A Corps permit can be obtained at the West Point Project Management Office for $25 or by phone or mail.

Hunters are not permitted to use center fire rifles on Corps of Engineers hunting lands.

Additional Information may help you: Additional Info from a quick Google search
