Yea it worked for one of mine. I think its kinda hit or miss. With more misses than hits

Just call playstation it is a common problem

Ask them about the exchange program

I had one do that, took it to a guy he used a heat gun and he said you have to let it cool 15 minutes than flip and repeat it worked for another year and a half before it finally went out
