22 Mag is a good choice for anyone recoil sensitive. Don't know that the PMR is a dependable enough pistol for SD use though. FUn range toy but not above MSRP.
I have one and they are fun to shoot but it has to have the right (suggested) 22 mag ammo. It positively won't eat some of it.
Keltec is supposed to ship large numbers of their new CMR 30 late this year. It's a carbine version of this pistol. They even use the same magazines. It looks like a cool lightweight gun. From what I read Keltec is aware of the opinion that they short production to keep prices higher. They are supposed to have thousands of these to ship. I haven't seen the MSRP but I'm really interested in it.
Might be fun if it's cheap enough

The Centuries Old Rule on SD loadings (and one that I subscribe to)
"Bigger, slower projectiles almost always trump faster smaller projectiles"
Yes, there are "High-Tech" projectiles out there that will literally "explode" on contact,
but are expensive and "iffy" in a true SD situation (like not being able to penetrate a car window!)
On the other hand, an affordable[ & dependable light-weight. S/A carbine in .22 WMR would be
of interest ... and if it had an interchangeable barrel for .22LR ....
