polishing a barrel

Im coloring in the letters on my glock tomorrow, thanks for the info. im considering polishing the barrel. Any recomendations on how to, and any reasons why not to polish it? thanks

if you really want to polish it send me a pm i have done a few GLOCK barrels that turned out pretty nice.

Strip with Vinegar and/or rust/blue remover (can be found in some walmarts, but more easily found in a gun shop) and polish to your liking with Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish (You can find it at walmart in the automotive section). Cost effective and works extremely well.
