alcohol does not cause problems. The usage of alcohol can certainly.

I think we're all aware that bottle of alcohol don't get into auto accidents, rape women, abuse spouses, and impregnate women with their alcohol semen causing fetal alcohol syndrome.

I’ve been in favor of banning alcohol for 21 years. The fact that they haven’t done so is ok with me. It still can affect the user’s mental state… but it no longer affects mine.
Same with weed… those who want to abuse it, will abuse it… regardless of legalities.
Legalize it and stop controlling what free people can do with a plant God put here. Let Darwin take it from there.

That can be said about anything you can think of. It exists, so there is potential for problems. Yes. Profound.
In states where it's been legalized and taxed, the taxes haven't begun to take care of the damage it's done to society. I'm shocked that politicians wouldn't use tax dollars wisely. Anyone advocating for legalization and heavy taxes must not have met a politician.
