Presenting SBR Stamp

You can't control every action of an employee at all times, but you can correct the issue if a wrong has been done. He has always addressed the issues in the past and I like that.

I can't see presenting my ATF paperwork just to go shoot with a SBR or suppressor every time I am at the range, I already jumped through all those hoops just to get it.

I like the GAFL. I've always been treated well there. I will say that they get really uptight about the SBR thing. Funny because they don't bat an eye at a Sig brace but if you've got a stock on there, watch out! LOL.

I wonder to what end? I admit...I had never even thought about this before but, why would a range care about the NFA status of your weapons? I would assume that they are concerned that the weapon might be illegal but why? Do they incur some sort of liability if that is the case? And if that is the case, why not confirm the legality of every weapon then?

Thats what I was thinking. At one point the employee said "well you know if the ATF comes in here we want to make sure we don't get in trouble..."

The store actually avails themselves to trouble by asking.

IIRC, FFls are mandated reporters, so if they become aware of a violation and don't report it they could get in trouble.

That's kind of what I was thinking....although, I'm not as wont to give legal advice as you are. ;)
