Presenting SBR Stamp

I just had the manager of the McDonald's ask to see my license, registration and proof of insurance since I was driving my truck through the Drive-Thru.

I told him to find the nearest Big N Tasty and suck it! #TrueStory.

And then all the other customers applauded! Then a little old lately walked up to the counter to pay and said, "I do believe that is what they call a burn".

So now the question is what would they do if you weren't legal? Are they going to call the popo and do a citizens arrest? Are they trained to determine if your copy of the stamp is legit? This is a giant can of worms for them.

Serious question - are you required to keep a copy of the approved form on your person? I've always been under the impression that you did not. If it's approved and in my possession, then I'm not doing anything wrong and I'm not showing anyone short of the ATF anything.

Yes! You have to keep a copy of the paperwork with it. Granted can you get away with not? Maybe. Is it worth it if your wrong? Nope

Not trying to break the rules. I actually do keep copies, but I didn't think it was required by law.

I have heard both sides argued...and honestly I've never bothered to follow up and see. I just keep the stamp info on me when traveling with NFA items to be safe. I have not yet, however, ever been asked to produce said info - despite interstate travel and several public and private range visits.
