Lots of variables come into play on this one. Condition, accessories, original box, docs. etc.

You may want to get quotes from 3 or 4 pawn shops, take the average price and add 20%. This should present a good point for the haggling. Keep an eye on prices for the same gun new at your LGS and on the web, and be ready to compensate for "special" sale prices on new versions of the same gun.

On the other hand you could just knock 20% off the retail price you paid for the weapon as a starting point. Forget accessories like holsters, sights, trigger mods., freight, FFL fees etc. they're not worth anything to most buyers.

For me when buying , it just depends if i want it .
I normally don't haggle pricing.
for me selling, I normally don't sell guns!

In my opinion and experience, delivery is as negotiable as the price. If both buyer and seller (or traders) are motivated and there's a distance between we're usually able to work out a meet somewhere in between. Each deal is different and I've found most I've dealt with have been reasonable. If not reasonable, no deal. Simple as that.

Don't do that. Guns don't lose value. Do a little research and sell it for the median.

Something else that factors in is where you live. Being in Gainesville, this probably won’t be much of a concern for you. You would probably do well selling (fast) at 90% of what comps have sold for recently on GB, assuming there is some demand for the specific model.

I sold a Ruger Target once and got hate mail for "saleing" it too low.

You simply cannot win.

Start high, you can always come down, but you can never go up. Besides, the self anointed ones on this sight will low ball, then goad you into selling to them. IN less then than an hour it will be relisted here or some other site at twice of what you received. Never let some one else price your item. You know what you have in it. Recoup your cost or sell it for what YOU believe is a price your conscious can except. You don't want to sell it and feel bad about giving it away too cheap. Now if you over paid to begin with, then you may not be happy with the outcome regardless.
