Coincidentally, Thursday at work we had an impromptu "name that song and band" while listening to someone's playlist of 80s stuff.
One of the nurses in her mid 60s said, "I didn't listen to most of that stuff when I was a teenager. I listened to Punk Rock."
I had to step back in my mind at the thought of this grandmother listening to the Ramones, and the Velvet Underground and Iggy Pop, Black Flag, etc.
Time has flown. Tempus is Fugitting.
