Process of buying a suppressor on an e-form 4

Can someone please explain this process to me. Do you just go, pay for the can and create an account on the Silencer shop kiosk, is that it?

Does SilencerShop reach out to me for the s/n of the can?
Is there more paperwork on the dealer side?

You should have filled out a questionnaire like a 4473 and entered your eform account pin number. If you didn't do any of this, the dealer sold you something they don't have and will have to wait until they get the serial number from SS before you can fill out and submit your form and pay your $200.

No you don’t fill out any paperwork initially at dealer when doing an eform with SilencerShop. There is a set of questions for the form 4 that you either already have, or will need to, answer on your SilencerShop account. You’ve got a s/n assigned by your dealer which should now be tied to your SilencerShop account, so what you’re waiting on is for SilencerShop to populate and send you a docusign form which you will complete and then wait for your form to be ready to certify with your dealer. At that point you and your dealer will certify your eform 4 together using SilencerShop software, you’ll need your eform account PIN number for this step. Once that’s completed then your actual wait starts for approval (could be 1 day, could be a month or more). Once you have an approval, then you’ll go back to your dealer and you will fill out a 4473 on paper to transfer the item to you.

Thank you very much! How does the s/n get assigned to the SilencerShop account? Does the Dealer assign it or will SilencerShop reach out to me for it?

Dealer would assign it to your silencer shop account. This is all assuming that your dealer is processing your eform 4 using SilencerShop’s software.
