So I may not be a master gunsmith, but I know my way around AR-15s. Or at least I thought I did. I had a good friend that texted me and told me he had a friend that was in need of some cash and needed to offload an AR-15. He said the receiver was cracked, but he had him talked down to a decent price. I thought for the money I could buy it and flip it to make a little cash. Well I got it home last night and stripped it on the bench to check it out. After a little cleaning I find that its a Professional Ordinance Carbon-15. I also find out that every part on the thing is proprietary. Bolt carrier, upper receiver, upper assembly and barrel. Its all non mil-spec crap.
So I am hoping you guys can help me decide what to do with it. At this point, I figure I can try to call Bushmaster for a lower receiver or sell the thing as is for parts. I might even sell if for a loss and call this a lesson.
Let me know what you guys think!
