Dr. John is one of the finest people I've met at Appleseed. Most all are great volunteers but he helped me 'unlearn' some bad habits and 'relearn' some good ones I'd forgotten many years ago.
I agree, great instructor and a super nice guy. He was very good with both my daughter, who hadn't shot very much and my granddaughter who had been doing 4 position shooting for a couple of years with the 4-H program. He really made my granddaughter's day when he told her that only about 10% of attendees made rifleman at their first Appleseed. She was one of three that got their patch that weekend out of fifteen participants.
Big fan of Dr John as well, we've loved hosting Appleseed here

No but people should still attend while they can. Best money that can be spent, not just to become a rifleman, but to understand the philosophy of Liberty and why Freedom is a verb.
