was, travel up 575 to blue ridge now. Not good at sharpening and I have like 5 knives I want to get done. Old gerbers, Sharade etc

I use Lansky's diamond system. It makes sharpening very easy, and creates a ridiculously sharp edge.

Do you have to guess at the angle to hold the knife or does it have guides to keep u on same angle at all times?

They are very good, I am ordering one for my son..He wants a hands on sharpener, these are very good..I have the electric Work Shop with belts from Harbor Supply.

thanks, just looked them up. I like that it has angle control setup. That was always my downfall.

It has 4 angle settings: 17, 20, 25, 30 degrees.

I see different kits, whats the best angle for hunting knife for deer use? For some reason my gerber knives seem to have some hard stainless, they are the good old USA made and about 20 years old
