Try an aftermarket fan with a higher cfm. If not check re set the heat sink with more compound. Flowing chips are not fun

Under warranty, send it back. I have the original 60GB that plays ps2 games and it's still running like a champ. No jinx!

make sure nothing is obstructing the intake like dust, but if it's new thats probably the the issue..
