Putting together upper receiver

you guys are being way too hard on this guy seriously. nate, youtube is your friend man watch and read all you can. this is the best way to learn your rifle by taking it apart and putting it back together. again, sit down with your gun and watch a video on building an upper and follow each step.

No one was condescending. Valid issues were raised in regards to someone who appears to be out of their dept on a subject. If this were just assembling the lower or something along those lines it wouldn't be an issue. However the OP has moved into an area of the firearm where halfassing it just isn't recommended not just because his gun wont work but he is crossing into areas where safety is an issue.

Where you there when I built my first upper? If you were then you would know that I had the tools I needed and someone with more knowledge than I there to ensure I did the job correctly. Building an upper is easy so long as you have the proper tools and know-how. If you don't have one or both of those things then you should seek them out before attempting to do anything. Tearing something apart and then asking how to reassemble is not a smart way to approach things.
