Quality Gunsmith

Just a heads up, it’s a lot of work to thread a standard 336.

Barrel usually needs pulled from the receiver in order to get it in the lathe. The action ain’t a round tube like a Remington 700, and it can’t be grabbed in most lathes.

Once the barrel is threaded, it will need drilled and tapped if you want the front sight back on.

The magazine tube will need to be shortened. It’s possible this can even involve filling in the old dovetail for the mag tube hanger, and cutting a new dovetail.

this. We do this regularly, but it is not a "cheap" job.
