???Question about .40cal pistols???
When the .40 came out it was all the rage. All the Law Enforcement Agencies were converting from 9mm to 40 cal. All the reasons came out why 9mm was now considered to be inferior. Time passed and people started posting that .40 was too "snappy" and 9mm was much better. So because they read it on the internet, it must be true, so people started dumping .40 for 9mm again...

I prefer 9mm but have some 40's as well. I think the current trend is dump 40 because a lot of agencies are switching back to the 9mm. I say shoot both. I reload both, shoot both and like both.
Ballistics are very similar to a 9mm* so, in a 9 you get similar ballistics with more magazine capacity, therefore I prefer 9mm.

I've been back looking at ODT for a few weeks and have noticed several members who trade state "No 40's" in their post. Is there something I'm missing?Thanks!
Yes. The posters who put this on their ads (for reasons of their own) do not prefer the .40
history goes beyond that
Fbi was using 10mm and after women had hard time follow up shots and passing they for if you cut the 10mm down becomes .40,and was easier
Today departments going to 9mm is all about cost and money they have and get for reducing costs
