Question on AR-15 Value

Just a point of fact. All factory rifles are test fired prior to leaving the factory. You having built yours at home and it being your first build I'd HIGHLY recommend you shoot it at least 100+ rounds to ensure proper function.

Still sounds like a $600 rifle at best IMO.

10 4. Thanks for the advice fellas. I will take it out and put some rounds down range when I get a chance. I may or may not list it after that to see how much I can get for it, but I'm sure as heck not going to sell it for way less than I have in it. I'd rather just keep the gun and source the money elsewhere than lose my ass on it.

It's really slow on the ODT right now too. Probably because tax season is upon us. May need to sit on it for a month or two.

I would definitely keep it for a while. The market isn't strong enough to get back even close in that right now. I think the gentlemen who noted $.70 on the dollar for home build just about nailed it. I bet you could get $700 after you test shoot it and maybe show some 100 yard groups with some descent ammo.

Twenty years ago When we got engaged I bought my wife a $2700 ring

Couple years back she had some swelling due to medical issues and couldn't get the ring back on

So I went to the kiosk cart in the mall and bought a $30 zircon ring

It sparkles more then the real one.
She gets compliments on the zircon every time she wears it

I'd say just get a zircon and have it installed in a nice band

If I had it to do over again that's exactly what I'd do

However for diamond rings. Blue Nile . Com has the best prices

My wife and I were poor college students when we got married. I got her a nice band ($900+) with a zircon diamond in the middle with the intention of getting a nicer diamond put in a year or two down the road. Well, 8 years and 2 kids later, she still has that same zirconium diamond. Honestly, everybody believes it is a real diamond (technically it is a "real" diamond, just man made is all). I think it is silly to go into debt spending thousands on a ring when starting off a marriage.

I agree, buying into the idea that you have to purchase a diamond to get married is crazy. My wife and I were married very young under the same type of financial situation. I have a $50 wedding band and we've managed to stay married for 15 years. ;)
