Question on where to sell modified car

Bring a trailer (BAT) website is a good place with the ability to reach the audience you want. It will give you the ability to present a thorough description with pictures and videos. List it with or without a reserve price.
Bring A Trailer for the win!!! bringatrailer.com

bringatrailer.com if it's in good shape and ready to be driven. usually low mileage vehicles, but a modified car by itself might not get "approved" to sell there. But it's worth a call.

FB market place for all of its detractors is still a good place to sell the odd stuff. I bought a Jeep recently that had been highly modified. the seller took his time to create a very good ad with a lot of specific details and photos. It is very easy to weed out the tire kickers via messages quickly (at least I was able to do when I have sold vehicles on Marketplace). Or find a group online that specializes in that vehicle and post it there.

Posting it online with things like "too much to list", or "just needs a few hundred dollars to get it running/finished" really doesn't cut it. Serious buyers want details. tire kickers don't, they just want a deal.

Take the time to create a good ad and it will help 100%. Detailed photos help. Jeep I bought had a long listing with a full detailed list of modifications and why he did them ($18k worth in this case). He got premium dollar for his vehicle because of the condition and modifications. I can't tell you how many Jeeps I saw that looked close but were listed as "call for details", "too many mods to list", or other vague things like that. Same for a nice motorcycle I bought recently. Seller had a full list (and sent me a nice excel spreadsheet with links to where he bought stuff and pricing). Again, he had a full list of $12k worth of accessories he had added to the bike.

put in the time and get some returns or don't and deal with the tire kickers.

It's time to let go of my modified 1994 Camaro Z28 , purchased it in 1997 has 70700 miles, garaged and not seen rain in 28 years. It's in stock showroom condition on the outside and interior, everything works. Problem is it's modified under the hood (tranny cooler/cam/342 rear/rockers/ignition/LT headers/exhaust/torque converter/SS exhaust/wheels/tires/PCM w/custom tune, plus other small things. ....next steps were suspension but age caught up w/me.

My problem is where to advertise and how to find someone that understands (except for oil and tires) you can't take this to a typical mechanic to repair. Are there any resellers or dealers that will handle the sale or do I have to deal with the public and tire kickers.. View attachment 9620011
Private messaged me with the price

As others have stated BAT, a custom reseller that markets nationwide or a Camaro forum or the like. For the love of god don’t list it on Marketplace, here or similar as you will be inundated with dip****s that never checked a dipstick!!! (Sorry not sorry, neckbeards, cheapskates and flippers!)
