Same here. Facebook and Twitter are just open sewers. I refer to them as " Hey Look at Me" public masturbator sites. I still can't believe FB has lasted this long. Remember how short lived Myspace was?

I had a MySpace account only because my daughter had one and I wanted to watch what was going on.

Yeah and around 05/06 when I managed a Radio Shack in the Macon Mall we had to block Myspace on our in store computers because of all the people wasting time there. But then Facebook killed it. I just expected that given the short attention span of milenials something would have replaced Facebook by now.

Facebook is silly. The people I want to stay in contact with, I do.

I don't see much difference between Facebook and other social media sites such as this one. At least to the point of being a time sponge and data collection. I don't have issue with any of them. I have taken a break from Facebook and gun forums for awhile and it's nice. However I return and try to throttle back time spent. I often wonder what it would be like if I had never logged onto a gun forum or Facebook.

I guess we all have our levels of comfort. To me saying that facebook and social media is evil on a forum is like saying Im not an alcoholic because I only drink a gallon of wine a day or Im a vegetarian I only eat animals with brown fur. We are just moving the bar to meet our needs.

The millennials are not on Facebook, btw. They have virtually all moved to Instagram or Snapchat or anything else. FB is just for parents and old folks.

I think it's hilarious that while they were working directly for the Hillary campaign, Cambridge Analytics may have been using their own data to help elect Trump.
