Just something comforting about a 1911 in a tense situation that I don't feel with a Glock, or for that matter a Beretta. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just going back to what you're taught on. I keep buying and selling Glocks, and I've been known to carry them; just saying what I feel.

Gun can look like a dig turd for all I care as long as it shoots...I don't carry a weapon for "image" I carry for protection
I don't think you get my point. People seem to fall in love with Glocks. I just don't understand why they fall so hard. Sure they work, but so do a lot of guns that people don't fall so hard for.
So....the way I see it... Some people don't make $$$ for a gun to prove how "cool" they are...I have a 1911...collectable...but would not carry as a self defense weapon...I'd use a wheel gun before any 1911, Sig, Glock, etc...that's if I didn't have anything...A man with a hi point is safer than a man with nothing...

I like to think of the 1911 as the father of Brownings finest achievement , the P-35 hi-power. Yeah , I know , now I got glockies AND 1911 cultist pissed at me.
