I’m out here for the weekend, I’ll be visiting a few pawn shops, touring the reservation and obviously gambling. Any “must see” or “must do” things anyone would recommend?

Take it from me. Do not and I mean do not in anyway get a traffic violation of any sort while up there. The old saying “they’ll throw the book at you” does it no justice. I avoid that place like the plague now.
To add to KSouth's post, I don't think it's legal to carry a weapon on a reservation.
As far as avoiding it like the plague, yeah me too.
Not being armed doesn’t bother me. I don’t live my life in fear of being killed.
Hit the museum. We found it very enjoyable. I've fished there many times. Never had a problem. On the other hand I've never found a "destination" type restaurant. Some good breakfast places but other than that everything seems average. Lots of good hikes close by if you are into that.
Peters Pancake House for the blueberry pancakes and a stack of bacon.
Wake up early and drive to Bryson City. Go have breakfast at Everett Street Diner. Best breakfast on earth.
