Red Dot or Reflex?

I have a S&W 22a 22 lr.My eyes aren't what they use to be, so Red Dot or a reflex for plinking? Thanks for any useful info.

its all red dot for me with my eyes not being the best/getting older.

Tap yourself on the knee with a hammer, if it jumps, get a red dot, if not, you'll need a reflex. lol. I like either one, I guess it just depends on which works better for you.

plinking within 50 yards or so I'd go reflex. Longer reddot

It aint great out in the sun with zero clouds, but it aint totally useless either. It has like 5-6 different brightness settings. Works awesome at dawn, dusk and when there is cloud cover.
It's a cool piece for the price IMO.

For that style pistol id go with the sig mini red dot (sts-081 I think)...had a ruger mrk III 22/45 with the mini red dot and it was perfect

The cheap red dots work better than the cheap reflex holos. As far as function goes, I think they are exactly the same. Once you get used to looking "through" each, it really won't matter which you have. The Primary Arms red dot I had was very good even in bright sun. Even the lowest setting was visible indoors. highly recommend it.
