I guess the question I'm going to ask is why is it disapproved? Incorrectly filled out forms? I have yet to apply for any and would like to know what needs to be done or avoided.

If you guys don't mind sharing, what was the reason for disapproval ? I just sent my stuff off on wed for my first nfa item and wondering what kind of issues they disapprove for.
I'm an idiot, I don't know how I missed this and asked the same question .
My Dad worked for the government. He had a great job, and talk about easy and stress free! He told me to do the same.

They will disapprove for about anything. Typo errors are the most common.
On my sten machine gun , I forgot to sign the back part of the form. Instead of allowing me to correct it, they disapproved it. Had to start all over again!
ATF corrected my serial number on one SBS, many years ago. I didn't include the few letters of the alphabet that I thought were a prefix to the numbers, but apparently they were part and parcel with the number itself. ATF just amended my Form 1 and approved it. Of course that was back in the day before everybody and his brother decided to get into short barreled shoulder-fired guns and silencers. ATF was not so overworked back then.
