I would like to use the same powder and bullet for my M1 Garand and my Remington 1917 Enfield. I'm using 150 grain boattail bullets, with IMR 4895 powder. 48 grains of powder seems to be the norm for making an M2 ball for the Garand. Any experience with the 1917 and the same bullet? I've read that the M1, used in the 1903 and 1917 was a hotter bullet than the M2. For safety sake, I want to use the same bullet for both so that they do not get mixed up and damage my Garand.
