remington 870 vs mossberg 500

i have the option of getting a remington 870 tactical for 380 holds 7 rds or should i just get a mossberg 500 for 300

I have had both and the deciding factor in me keeping my 870 is the pump button. On the mossbergs it is in a unusual position with a pistol grip.

I'd go with the 870.
You can modify the heck out of both shotguns, however, and pretty much make them what you want.

I put a shorter Mossberg breeching barrel on my 870, so I guess I have a hybrid. I also put the Vang Comp tube extender and side saddle on. It's tacti-cool.

It's funny the deciding factor for me was that I like the button placement on the Mossberg so much better but I do not run pistol grips. If I did I would go 870 but as it stands I have 2 590A1's
