I'm in the market for a single stack 9, and have pretty much settled on the Shield. But, with all the hype over the new R51, I was hoping to at least fondle one before I make a final decision and purchase. The problem is that the R51 release date seems to keep getting pushed out. Initially, the R51 was going to be available on Feb 1. Then it got pushed back to mid Feb. Then it was expected to be delivered to stores at the end of Feb. Now, I'm hearing it's shipping to major retailers sometime around the end of March to the middle of April, and then to smaller gun stores sometime after that. I'm not sure I want to wait that long before buying something else.
