Removing a custom paint wrap from a former Glock 22 OD?

Give some consideration to trying an ultrasonic cleaner. I can't say that it will work but it's worth a try if you have access to one.

Thanks for all of the suggestions gentlemen, I certainly appreciate it. Will post pics once it's back to OD.

It's starting to look like an OD again. I did Brake Fluid DOT 3 & Lacquer Thinner and let it sit overnight. Most of paint wiped right off. I will still have to get in there and apply it again around the grip, trigger and rail as you can see from the picture, but it's starting to come around.

Dot 3 is by far the best paint stripper I have found yet and as a plus it is safe on plastics. Looking good.


Just make sure not to use the exspensive synthetic DOT 3. The cheaper the better. Synthetic won't strip the paint but will make it smell bad.
