IIRC that emissions test is only for counties with more than 100K residents. Never had to do one in Pickens County where I live.

[Here's a fun fact: Georgia has 159 counties. Most Yankees and non-Georgians ask "Why they do something so stupid?" Answer: Because it was set up so that a farmer using a mule driven wagon could get to a County Seat within a day no matter where he lived. That's back when government worked for the people.]
