I don’t understand the nuance of the AR. I have had a few budget bangers that ran fine. My military experience was blah because we had old clapped out Jarhead A2’s that were junk. I had no confidence in those rifles if we went down and had to use them for defense. They are all the same in my ignorance. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂

Think a CQB rifle you could hunt if you had to. My broke down azz will not be engaging hostile. Nice Dot? Good enough light to stun an enemy.

Yeah 14.5 would be perfect. Just get a $100 streamlight. The LPVOs I mentioned would be pretty good for what you want to achieve. If you want smaller and lighter you can do a primary arms 3x or 5x microprism with an offset red dot. The example below is a 14.5 Aero in 5.56.

Just get a 14.5 BCM. They are in the $1000-$1400 range and will not fail you. Streamlight flashlight. Decent 1-4 to 1-8 LPVO or microprism. Sling like blue force gear or Magpul. Then buy 10 Magpul mags. Probably be all in for $2000.

A lw psa ar lower separate upper in 300bo with a 8 to 10 " barrel a 2 liter soda bottle and some practice is really excellent inside and outside to 100 yds or more.
PSA SABERs are an incredible value right out of the box and if you put 2 or 300 rds through it without issues and then inspect it you will know what you know.
