Check into cobra for your wife. It may be cheaper than private and it will probably be better insurance.

i retired 3/31/25 with over 43 years in, im just now learning to pace myself and enjoy it, my family thought i was their handy man i had to learn to tell them no at times, and remember if you dont finish a project today it will still be there tomorrow.
i would reccomend a vacation pretty quick to decompress. it was a huge adjustment for me and i still wake up at the same time,

Cobra is expensive but for 1 year it's worth it.

Retired 12/31/24 at 75 with 50+ years same job. It has taken me awhile to adjust. But, I'm now loving it! Just hope the stock market doesn't take a crap and I will be good to go!
