Any suggestions? I have seen cheap ones, does it matter. Got a job outside going to house to house reading meters and I don't want to shoot someone's dog if I don't need too. thx

Most folks use pepper spray in those jobs.

Do not get caught striking someone's dog on their property with a weapon.

In that job, it is NOT called a Baton. It is called a Bite Blocker. I suppose it could be used as a Thumper, but you didn't buy it with that in mind.

Get a ASP, not sure on the rules of your company has concerning them, but they are very effective. As a animal rescuer I carry one everywhere I go. I got mine here on the ODT at 50% off,

Pepper spray is your best weapon. I had the same job years ago.
