built engine for turbo duty = $2800.00
turbocharger from Precision Turbo = $1000.00
topmount turbo manifold = $680.00
front mount intercooler = $600.00 (approx)
2000cc fuel injectors = $700.00 (approx)
driveshaft Shop CV axles to handle about 700HP @ the wheels = $800.00 (approx)
programmable ECU with all the goodies for turbo = $480.00
built trans to handle the power = $1800.00
adjustable suspension for drag/street = $680.00
clutch for said built transmission = $1250.00
I could go on listing stuff, but my wallet is hurting just talking about it... And all this does not include the countless hours spent on the dyno to tune the car and get it dialed in for the track, then there are the entry fees for the track. gas for the tow vehicle and a trailer just in case I break it at the track and can't drive it home.
so I would have to say that it IS, in fact, a good bit cheaper to build a good rifle for no other reason than to go out and shoot at a target of some sort. or even some pesky coyotes that tend to roam the woods behind my house....

not many of us on here from what I've seen so far. I have seen a couple from around the Albany/Leesburg area and one or two from Fitzgerald. Are you familiar with any of the Shingen Motorsports guys from the Valdosta area?
