I remember for several years everything he did went straight to the top.

No one. Country went pop! Only a handful of country outlaws left.
The music will live forever. Something was on tv last night (channel hopping so I didn't pay close attention.) In the background was a Hank Williams song being played by a heavy metal band with the heavy metal sound.

I just saw this thread and had to comment. RIP ETC. You will be missed. You can see by my handle that I am a fan! I killed a turkey the morning he died and thought about ETC as the gobbler was giving me the silent treatment.
