RIP Treat Williams

RIP

Williams made a bunch of sub-par movies, but they were never bad because of his acting. His philosophy seemed to be akin to Gene Hackman's: Don't take work for granted.

He also had a substantial live stage pedigree. He was a talented vocalist as well as an actor, and that got him many opportunities.

He had a modest part in We Own This City, a 2022 miniseries based on the corruption of the Baltimore Police Department. I didn't know he was in it until he showed up on screen. His talent was evident in that part as well. The guy was a really fine actor. Probably had a lot of good roles left in him, if his life hadn't been cut short.
