I knew Vernon Forrest. I would see him several times a week at the old Biggs/Morrison gym off Courtland street. He was training there all the time when he knocked out Sugar Shane Mosley. Crazy, stupid thing that happened to him.

OK so what outcome are you hoping for when you decide to fight back? I just don't see any possible positive outcome for you if 4 men run up on you with guns already drawn. Just as you have a survival instinct they have one too and if they see you drawing for a gun I believe they are going to shoot you.

You are assuming:

1 They don't intend to kill you anyway.
2 Scared punks without formal training don't accidentally shoot you.
3 One guy does not get a wild hair and kill you.
4 They are robbing and not kidnapping you.
5 They are not ISSIS wannabes wanting to separate your head from your shoulders.

It worked out for the guy but there are a hundred scenarios where compliance does not.

no i wont be put in that situation...but as all situations you cant control all of the outcome..unless very un situational aware or blind sided, anyone could have had a different out come.. I was attacked by five and only one shot..the others at the sound of gun shot ran away..so as stupid is stupid does..the outcome will be in my favor because this scenario has played out in my head for over 30 years the attackers expect you to comply with orders..so any thing Violence of action will cause confusion and panic by a perp
