My mother in law lives in Dallas and I'm in Hiram often but I'm never going to the ATM at 1am. That said it doesn't sound like you have to be coming from the bank. To have 2 cars involved it seems this was orchestrated, not just some off the cuff stick up. Be diligent and resolved to do what you must to get home safe. While I dont like the odds of 4 guns out to 1 gun holstered I'd rather die fighting then just to be killed in cold-blood. Thats a decision we all have to make when that time comes though.

Its not about blaming the victim as much as it is about using some discernment. At 1am are you going to go pay a bill, or make a cash purchase or could that withdrawal have possibly waited until the next day? We simply do not live in a world where we just because we CAN do something means that we SHOULD do it because there can be consequences for every action we take, good, bad or indifferent.

Hey I mean if thats your norm, maybe because of work schedule or something like that then thats fine but to say I'm just going to go hit the ATM at 1am because its a free world well you might be inviting trouble and if that trouble happens to find you thats on you. Personally I dont get that mentality. Thats like walking down a dark alley in Atlanta at 2am because I got a gun and its a free world I can do what I want. Thats stupid.
